Frequently Asked Questions
The sooner the better as demand is high! Because of seasonality, many of the smaller lodges and safari camps need to be booked well in advance especially during peak season. Because we personalize each trip to our guest’s needs we recommend you start planning at least 8-10 months (or longer) from when you want to travel. This ensures we have time to properly curate a fabulous adventure.
Africa is generally a year-round destination. No matter when you are planning a trip, you will always find a destination that is great to visit. Depending on which region you wish to visit be it Southern Africa or East Africa, we can guide you on when you should visit.
There are a number of factors such as seasons, length of the trip, type of accommodations. A rule-of-thumb for a great safari is to budget at least $800-$1,000 per person per night. A safari should be at least 7-10 nights long to get a good sense of the diverse wild life and landscape. This covers the cost of luxury accommodations (lodges or camps), three meals a day, park and conservation fees, daily safaris and professional safari guides. Prices will vary but the above will give you something to work with as you plan. Many lodges and safari camps offer an all- inclusive rate that includes non-premium beverages and laundry service.
This depends on the destination and your nationality. Some destinations (example: South Africa and Botswana do not require a visa while others such as Zimbabwe require you to purchase one on arrival. Our tour consultant will be able to guide you in plenty of time before your departure.
