Day 1 – Arrive in Entebbe

Welcome to Uganda! Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by an Immersion Journeys representative and transferred to your hotel for rest and relaxation. Spend the evening unwinding or exploring at your leisure.

Day 2 – Entebbe / Murchison Falls National Park

Start your adventure with a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you can observe rhinos in their natural habitat as part of Uganda’s successful conservation efforts. Continue to Murchison Falls National Park, where the majestic Nile River thunders through a narrow gorge, creating a stunning cascade. Your lodge, situated along the riverbank, offers breathtaking views and a perfect base for exploration.

Day 3 – Murchison Falls National Park

Begin your day with a thrilling game drive through the delta circuit, where you might spot leopards, giraffes, buffalo, and a variety of antelope species. In the afternoon, enjoy a serene boat safari on the Victoria Nile, cruising to the base of Murchison Falls. For an added adventure, opt for a guided hike to the top of the falls, where you’ll witness the Nile’s raw power and marvel at panoramic views.

Day 4 – Murchison Falls National Park / Kibale

Travel through Uganda’s verdant countryside and past the fabled Mountains of the Moon to Kibale Forest National Park, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. This tropical forest is home to 13 primate species, including chimpanzees, as well as a rich diversity of birds and mammals.

Day 5 – Kibale Forest

Venture into the forest for a private chimpanzee tracking experience, led by expert naturalists. Learn about the park’s vibrant ecosystem and observe these fascinating primates up close. The day is yours to relax or explore further at your leisure.

Day 6 – Kibale Forest / Queen Elizabeth 

Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, along the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range. Upon arrival, you may be rewarded with views of waterbucks, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, hyenas, and a variety of antelope species. Visit the Katwe explosion craters and walk down to the salt lakes to meet the locals who earn a living from salt mining.

Day 7 – Queen Elizabeth

Wake up early for a predator research excursion, where you’ll track lions with the help of a local conservation team. Gain unique insights into lion behavior and conservation challenges in the region. In the afternoon, enjoy a private boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, home to one of the largest concentrations of hippos in the world. This cruise is perfect for photography, birdwatching, and taking in the diverse wildlife.

Day 8 – Queen Elizabeth / Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Continue to the enchanting Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to half the world’s mountain gorillas. Spend your afternoon exploring the Buhoma area with a guided village walk, learning about local culture, traditions, and the community’s connection to conservation efforts.

Day 9 – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Set out early for an extraordinary gorilla trekking experience. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, navigate the dense rainforest in search of these shy, gentle giants. Day 10 – Entebbe / Depart
