The land of the Himalayas. A visit to Nepal can easily be combined with India or Sri Lanka. Tucked across the border from India and famous for Mount Everest, Nepal brags of Buddhist stupas, an expansive mountain range, tigers trekking. Across from Nepal is the “Land of the Thunder Dragon” – Bhutan. A tiny country of lush hills and mountains, Bhutan is famous for its ‘Happiness Index’ which measures the tranquility of their citizens. Bhutan’s topography offers fabulous hiking and trekking, but also deluxe luxury. It’s best combined with a longer visit to Sri Lanka, India or even Nepal.
