Arusha – Tarangire – Manyara -Ngorongoro – Serengeti

Northern Tanzania’s wilderness goes on forever, an untamed eternity on an enormous scale. It’s home to the continent’s highest mountain, the planet’s largest intact caldera, unfathomable numbers of animals, vast golden plains, truly enormous skies. This is bowl-you-over country: big, bewitching, breathtaking at every turn.

Day 1 Arrive Kilimanjaro (Arusha)

You will be met and transferred to your accommodations. Afternoon at leisure to explore the nature around the lodge.

Day 2 Arusha-Tarangire

After breakfast and a briefing on your SkySafari, enjoy a coffee tour on the plantation. After lunch depart for your 20-minute flight to Kuro Airstrip in Tarangire National Park. Met on arrival and transfer to Tarangire Treetops in time for sundowners and a Boma Dinner under the starry African sky.

Day 3 Tarangire

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of activities including game drives; a visit to a Masai village, bush walk, sundowners in the bush and a night game drive. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds and resident lions amid a multitude of other species and hundreds of species of indigenous and migratory birdlife.

Day 4 Tarangire-Ngorongoro

Enjoy a morning game drive through Tarangire National Park. Stop at leisure for a picnic lunch and later fly to Ngorongoro. Met on arrival at the Manyara Airstrip and transferred to The Manor at Ngorongoro in time for high-tea. Here, your three-night stay will be in a cottage on an all-inclusive basis (includes all meals, drinks (premium drinks excluded), laundry service, transfers, game drives and scheduled activities).

Day 5 Ngorongoro

After breakfast, proceed with a picnic lunch to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. This lake is one of the main water sources attracting a high density of birds and flamingo. Return to the Manor. Choose from a plethora of activities including horseback riding, cycling, an estate tour, a massage treatment or you may opt to just relax and enjoy the beautiful property.

Day 6 Ngorongoro

Depart for a full day of exploration of the Ngorongoro Crater. A picnic lunch will be served on the crater floor.

Day 7 Ngorongoro-Serengeti

Take a short flight to the Serengeti, where you will stay at either Serengeti Pioneer Camp or Serengeti Migration Camp (depends on season and availability). The choice of Camp will be made in advance of your arrival to Tanzania with the decision based on which location will provide the optimum game-viewing opportunities. Both camps provide exceptional accommodations and are located close to the migratory path of the wildebeest migration. Enjoy full-day game drives with expert guides, bush luncheons and dinners as well as evenings under the stars.

Days 8 & 9 Serengeti

Spend two full days of crisscrossing and exploring the vast Serengeti following the route of the migration. Your expert guides will ensure an immersive experience.

Day 10 Depart

Wake up and enjoy a steaming coffee as the sun rises whilst staying at Pioneer Camp or take a short walk with the resident guide around the camp. This morning is at leisure before departing for Arusha or your onward extension to Zanzibar (see below). On arrival you will be met transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge. Depending on your outbound flight details, enjoy the use of a dayroom and then you will be chauffeured to Kilimanjaro Airport.
