Cape Town - Franschhoek - Wellington - Coasts & Wine Country

Going beyond wine. This tour visits the beautiful town of Wellington known for it’s brandy industry as well as it boutique wineries. One must sample these wines as they are difficult to get in your local liquor store! Your cycling route will also take you through the stunningly beautiful Franschoek Valley. A sight not to be missed and a gastronomical experience that is second to none.

Day 1 Cape Town

Arrive in Cape Town, aka The Mother City and transfer to your hotel for city orientation and wine sampling.

Day 2 Cape Point

Explore the most beautiful peninsula on the African continent on a full day tour that includes whale watching, penguin colonies, Cape Point, quaint fishing villages and outstanding seafood. Revel in the vibrancy of Cape Town’s restaurants and nightlife at the world famous.

Day 3 & 4 Franschhoek

Franschhoek is the gastro-capital of South Africa, a charming village set in a magnificent dead end valley with sweeping vistas. The valley floor provides excellent biking opportunities and we off-road between vineyards ranging from prominent world renowned brands to deeply personal cult cellars.

Day 5 & 6 Wellington

Wellington is a re-emergent and very exciting wine region. Spread around an iconic frontier town and interspersed with majestic mountain ranges, it is a visually spectacular region, ideal for cycling. We meet cult winemakers for tutored tastings and vineyard tours and learn first hand the art of vine grafting in local vine nurseries. Enjoy the culinary magic of vineyard chefs who source the finest artisanal produce from the region – olive oil, cheese and charcuterie samplings abound.

Day 7 Cape Town Depart

Transfer to Cape Town and depart the wine region…although we fully expect you will extend your stay.
